Our Mission

Compassionate Hearts Alliance was created in 2002 as a coalition of churches dedicated to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, growing God’s people in their knowledge of Him, and providing humanitarian aid to those in need. Under the auspices of CHA, multiple trips are made each year to Belize, Central America. These trips have included the following activities: Vacation Bible School, medical and dental services, building projects, renovation projects and most recently, food distribution to the indigenous people.

In past years, CHA in conjunction with Amigos Internacionales, USA-AID, and the Christian Alliance for Humanitarian Aid of Houston, has delivered more than 50,000 lbs. of food to Belize. To accomplish this project, CHA has established a very trusted relationship with the Belizean Government. In addition, the Co-Founders of CHA, James and Lorrie Pitre, have been instrumental in developing a system wherein children and adults who have extreme medical needs are identified and brought to the USA for life saving surgery.

Recognized as a non-profit organization under IRS Article 501(c) 3, Compassionate Hearts Alliance is a Registered Corporation in Belize as well. In 2004 our first project “My Father’s House” was a conversion of a large two story building located right in the heart of Belize City and is currently being utilized as a multi-use ministry center. It is also the location of the Belize Bible Society which has been in operation now for 10 plus years.

Compassionate Hearts Alliance USA/Belize is a registered 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. CHA has been determined to be exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501(c)(3) and donors are authorized to make donations provided in section 170.
